The Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 sport a 5-inch WVGA Super Clear LCDs (800 x 480), it is powered by a 1Ghz Processor( hummingbird) and running Android 2.3.5 PMP. Storage Solution are either 8GB or 16GB and can be expanded via mircoSD up to 32 GB. its also got a front facing VGA camera for video chat, rear 3.2Megapixel camera, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n enabled. The Galaxy player 5.0 weighs 6.9 ounce and packs a 2500mAH battery.

So how well does the Galaxy Player 5.0 feel, well the devices has some weight to it. As far as been a PMP the screen size is awesome for watching videos, you get the whole 5inch real estate that does a fantastic job at displaying video content well. Though at time the screen does look washed out and the icons sometimes looks stretched out. This might be due to the screen size but I believe more to do with the screen resolution. Non- the less the screen is adequate enough for what you are looking for .

The galaxy Player 5.0's native video play supports divx HD and xvid so those are the media file sit will player. I suggest you download something useful from the marketplace or covert your movies to match the formats that is supported by the native player. The music player works very well and the on board speakers are loud enough to give you good stereo sound. Sound off the headphone jack is good but you might need to crank it up a bit to get the best possible sound out of the system.

The Galaxy Player 5.0 also has an FM radio which uses your headphones as an antenna, I was highly impressed with the audio quality of the FM radio and how easy it was to use. audio can be played off the device speakers but the headset still needs to be connected for it to function. In all The galaxy Player is a great media device for watching videos, the 5 inch display is great for watching movies and the addition of the android market place allows you to either buy rent or have your on movies to watch.

The are some downsides as I mentioned with the screen wash out and the need to crank the volume up on the system. Though if you are not in the model for a table but want something large enough to watch movies, plays music well and has the whole Android app store to booth. Then this is the device for you, "The Samsung Galaxy player 5.0"
