This is a video that shows how to use the "Torque" Android app to turn off the service engine soon light by clearing the error codes on your vehicle. You should only clear the error codes once you think you have fixed the problem.
The bluetooth adapter I'm using is a generic cheap-o ebay one from Hong Kong. I have another video about that if you are interested:

Once you have read the error codes, the best thing to do is to do a Google search for your make of vehicle plus the error code. You can usually find someone else who has already had and resolved the same problem your vehicle has.
