Taxi finder is a mobile-based application and it offers an ambitious idea to solve a problem in the communication flow and offer a kind of comfortable facility for people when finding a taxi. The passenger can search the nearest available taxi in real time based on his location. After sending a reservation request from the passenger, the application asks a confirmation from the taxi .In addition, the application allows the passenger make a reservation by uploading the time and destination to a shared database so that any available taxi can take that reservation on time.
The application is developed based on Android/Java/Web Services/MySQL/GlassFish/MySQL technologies. In this project, I got A+ and it got the first award in the 5th National Technology Parade which is an annual competition for graduation projects from all Jordanian universities.
