T-Shirt

In this Week 4 video of Invade London I teach you how to make a T-shirt drawstring backpack for kids. This is a great project to make with your kids and comes in especially handy for your child athlete. Whether your child is a dancer, swimmer, t-ball player or participates in any other kind of physical activity they will find that this little backpack comes in very handy to store everything from ballet slippers to tennis balls.

The drawstring backpack I teach you how to make in this video is for a 2-4 yr old but feel free to adjust both the size of the fabric pieces and the length of the drawstring straps to suit your needs. This is a very forgiving project that lends itself nicely to customization.

The supplies you'll need are:
- 2 t-shirt squares measuring ~ 12.5" x 12.5"
- a few yards of drawstring or t-shirt scraps for your straps
- embellishment of your choice (optional)
- sewing machine
- rotary cutter + mat/ scissors
- rulers
- fabric marker/ pen
- pins
- coordinating thread
