Researchers from Mera Labs company present Ubiquitous Plug and Play Platform for cognitive Machine-to-Machine communications and demonstrate 3 M2M applications which are based on the platform.

The first M2M application is VoicePilot. It allows to turn user gadgets such as Android smartphones and tablet PCs into universal remote controls for any kind of Smart TV devices based on Andorid OS.
Users can input text data into Smart TV boxes using native keyboards of their favorite gadgets or even by voice, just pronouncing whatever they want.
Users can leverage touch screens of their gadgets to navigate throught user interfaces in Android Smart TV devices.

The second application is called Mobile Reporter. It is an M2M application which turns users into real mobile reporters with personal "telecruisers" in their hands in the form of gadgets such as smartphones and tablet PCs. This application allows to stream video from embedded video cams (as well as audio from microphones) of smartphones and tablets directly to Android Smart TV media devices over IP networks.

The third demo is an M2M application which mimics basic features of Apple AirPlay but it is built on totally different principles of Ubiquitous Plug and Play technology. It allows to send multimedia content items (such as video clips, movies, audio records, photos, etc.) from Android based smartphones and tablets to different kinds of multimedia devices, including Android Smart TV boxes.
