DroidIris+

By Alexandre Delattre

Droidiris is an app which allows you to search and browse through images online, presenting them in a neat 3D gallery that is shaped like an iris. When you search for an image, select from a range of search engines such as Google and Yahoo. You can also press the tabs to filter by size or view, and select previous searches from the History tab.
Built for Android 2.1 and above, and fully optimized for Honeycomb, Droidiris has a simple user interface, so you can move through your search results quickly and smoothly by scrolling with your finger. Tapping twice on an image will enlarge it to full screen and you can pinch to zoom in and out of a particular area. Details about the image are displayed in a box at the top of the screen with information including its name, location and pixel size.
Your formatting options are at the bottom of the screen in four icons. These allow you to save the image, set it as a wall paper, share it as a link or attachment or go directly to the website from which the image has been taken.
By opening the preferences tab you can also personalise Droidiris. Check or uncheck the tick boxes if you always want to resume the last search, or show the image menu after selecting an image. Finally, you can manage the cache, search history, change the appearance of the background and alter the corner size of the images.
IMPORTANT NOTICE :
Since August 1st, Bing is no more supported and will be removed from next version of the app. The reason is the API is no longer
