This is an app that I wished worked! I've seen keychain devices for sale that claim to produce a sound undetectable to humans but one that chased mosquitoes away. From what I read the sound supposedly mimics a dragonfly in flight and dragonflies are the mortal enemies of mosquitoes (or something like that). I found MP3 versions of that dragonfly wing beating sound and tested it by playing it on my phone's MP3 player. I never got my rigged mosquito chaser to scare a single mosquito. When I saw an Android app that produces the same sound I couldn't resist testing it on a hike and around our valley. Full review up at http://droiditude.com/?p=165.
