Camera ICS+
By Moblynx
http://theandroidappshow - Today I'm going to review Camera ICS+
On the right I have an HTC EVO running Android Gingerbread 2.3
and on the left I have a Samsung Nexus S 4G running Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0
the EVO is running Camera ICS+
and the Nexus S is running the original camera app from Ice Cream Sandwich
Let's take a look at responsiveness side-by-side
When rotating the screen the icons change at essential the same time
Here's a screencast of the app running on the EVO, notice it has a digital zoom slider
That's strange because the same app doesn't have a zoom slider on the Nexus S
Let's switch over to the Nexus S to get a better view
See the interface is nearly identical to the interface on the EVO, only without a slider
This app is also specially designed for tablets giving you a larger interface to play with
My Acer A100 also features a digital zoom slider and a modified settings interface
It still bothers me the Nexus S doesn't have a digital zoom slider but I am starting to suspect the option is hardware specific.
Why wait for your Honey Comb tablet or Gingerbread phone to get the Ice Cream Sandwich update when you can upgrade your camera app now for 99 cents and take sweet panoramic pictures!
Camera ICS+ is available for 99 cents on Google Play (formerly the Android Market)
