Bun Scrambling

搶包山是長洲太平清醮其中一項盛典. 1978年, 曾因為其中一座包山倒下引致多於100人受傷而被禁止. 直至2005年才被香港政府以表演賽形式再度舉行. 除了限制參加者人數, 包山的架構亦以鋼架取代竹棚.

Orginally, Bun-snatching is a activity of Cheung Chau Da Jiu Festival in Hong Kong. However, one of a bun tower collapsed and injured more than 100 people in 1978, so it was banned since 1978. Bun-snatching was rebranded as Bun Scrambling Competition by Hong Kong Gov. With limiting numbers of participant and using a steel mountain framework instead of bamboo.
